The Hampton Court Palace Festival was first held in 1992 with a total of 265 exhibitors. Today the show has grown to a total of around 600 exhibitors and the showground covers an area of around 34 acres.
From the shows humble beginnings therefore, it has now become the world’s largest flower show held every July!
We would certainly highly recommend it to everyone and not only the greenfingered as it’s a great family day out. See either the Butterfly Dome or take part in the Scarecrow Competition and of course there is lots more for children to see and do.
Now you can be amongst the first to view the beautiful gardens and floral displays by attending the preview evening held on the 8th of July – tickets are of course limited. You won’t be disappointed however, with the evening ending with a spectacular fireworks display.
Its preferred that you travel to the show by public transport and various bus routes are available with Hampton Court rail station just minutes away from Hampton Court Palace.
Here's a Fun Fact for you: The poor exhibitors have just 21 days to prepare for the show and only a meagre 10 days to take everything down – sounds like hard work to us!
